Hi. Is this thing on?
A few years ago, I excitedly launched a blog called The Dogwood State. I had big dreams for my small space on the internet, but was anxious that I wouldn’t have the time, energy, or commitment to keep it up. It was a self-fulfilling prophecy. For many reasons, I wasn’t committed to The Dogwood State. My last blog post there was published in the fall of 2018.
After some a lot of time passed, I still had the itch to create content, and I especially wanted to continue writing about our 50 in 5 travels. But my old blog was no longer the right fit. After agonizing (unnecessarily!) over a new name, I made the decision to simply combine everything with my existing portfolio website and make things much easier for myself. I moved over most of the blog posts I had written on The Dogwood State. I also took the opportunity to update my portfolio and I added information about my freelance offerings; something I’ve talked about doing for years.
I’m looking forward to writing again, though I’m now two years behind on writing about 50 in 5. I’m going to pick up where I left off, and will finish sharing our trip to Hawaii soon. If you have thoughts about other topics I should write about, please leave a comment and let me know.
