While we were attending Moon River Music Festival in Chattanooga, we spent three nights in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia. Since we were straddling state lines, I knew we’d want to tick Georgia off of our 50 in 5 list. On our last morning, we drove to Cloudland Canyon State Park to take in the views.
As we stepped out of the car, I was delighted to discover that on that rainy morning, we were literally in the clouds. We basically had the park to ourselves, too.
I grew up visiting family in Peachtree City, and have vacationed in Atlanta several times. Brandon and I also stopped through Savannah on our honeymoon. Though it was brief, I really enjoyed visiting a part of Georgia I hadn’t experienced before. It was nice to get out and stretch our legs before driving six hours home, too!

I’d love to visit Helen and Blue Ridge on future trips to Georgia.
